You Asked; We’re Answering!

September 8, 2021

Over the years, we’ve been asked a lot of questions about our rooftop equipment supports and pre-engineered floor framing system. So, we did something really crazy and put together a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) page on our website. But while this gets the job done for most of our customers, some want to dive deeper into some answers. Here’s a look at what we’re asked most often, so your burning questions are burning no longer.

1. How much do QuickFrames cost?

There isn’t a singular answer to this, because every job requires something different (and freight varies too). But, the ballpark answer is that each frame typically costs between $200 – $375. If you’re thinking it’s cheaper to fabricate them yourself, it’s not (take a look at this cost comparison). From start to finish, we’re more cost-effective than steel angle iron frames.

2. How fast can I get QuickFrames?

We have “Quick” in our name for a reason, and we strive to accommodate our customers’ schedules as much as we can. Since we carry many sizes and configurations of our frames in stock, we can often ship orders of 25 frames or less the next day. We’ll need more time for larger jobs, but we still do our best to meet your deadlines for our rooftop equipment supports when possible. Of course, the more notice you give us, the better. And, if you find you’re in a pinch often, you can always keep our frames on hand. Their adjustability makes them work in a variety of scenarios, so some customers prefer to avoid last-minute fire drills and always have their own personal stash of QuickFrames.

3. Have QuickFrames been approved by engineers?

You betcha. QuickFrames were actually designed with the help of structural engineers Caruso Turley & Scott Structural Engineers, who are registered in all 50 states. If you need site-specific engineering, we’ll send you the QuickFrames submittals to send to your engineers. It’s super easy. We regularly provide site-specific engineering to handle just about any project our customers have, including L.A. County seismic, Dade County Hurricane requirements and other unique specific engineering requirements.

4. How can I order, quickly?

The fastest way to place an order is by filling out our quote form here or emailing your plans to us at [email protected].

5. What’s the installation time like?

The first time someone installs our frames, it takes 20-30 minutes. But once you’ve done a few, you can usually install our rooftop equipment supports in about 15 minutes. And, since they don’t require welding, anyone can do it as long as they have a ¾” impact driver. We’re not kidding.
